I was born and raised in Texas and came to the Hill Country as soon as I could. I attended Pan American University and played college baseball until a shoulder injury ended that career path. I then focused on my other dream—dentistry. I attended the #1 ranked University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School and graduated in 1987 with honors in the same class as my partner—Dr. Cliff Luttrell. I came directly to Boerne after dental school, and I joined a practice that Dr. Roger L. Hestilow had started in 1965. I practiced with Dr. Hestilow for 10 years until he retired, then Dr. Luttrell came in to take his place in 1997. Our practice, the Boerne Dental Center, has been in existence since 1965 and has always taken pride in honesty, integrity, and quality. We have some of those patients from 1965 still coming in to see us.
I have two sons, Ryan and Luke, that currently attend Boerne schools. I spend a lot of time with my children's activities. Luke is an avid golfer and Ryan plays club soccer and high school soccer. When I have time I enjoy golf, going to the gym, and playing the guitar. Living in the Boerne area since 1987, I have seen many changes and much growth. Kendall county has been very good to me and is a wonderful place to practice.
Born and raised in Dallas, I went to The University of Texas in Austin for Undergraduate school and the # 1 ranked University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for Dental School. I graduated in 1987 with Dr. Gomillion. After graduation, I joined the United States Navy where I served in the Dental Corps for 10 years. During that time, I received additional training through a General Practice Residency and Fellowship in Oral Surgery. It was also during this time that my wife, Daphne, and I enjoyed several beautiful duty stations and were blessed to welcome our three children to our family.
In 1997, I left the Navy to join Dr. Gomillion at the Boerne Dental Center where I was happy to find the practice well established in honesty, integrity, and quality. These were the hallmarks of the Center's founder, Roger Hestilow, and well-maintained by Dr. Gomillion ever since.
Daphne and I have enjoyed living and working in Boerne for the last 15 years because of the wonderful people, the small town history, and hill country lifestyle.
Our three children all graduated from Boerne schools and I had the privilege of serving on the Boerne ISD school board for six years. I am also a member and Sunday school teacher at Currey Creek Baptist Church.
I feel blessed to be able to care for the great folks of Boerne and consider them my family.
