Our dentists have over 60 years combined experience with personal patient care. They have devoted over 50 of those years to taking care of families in the Boerne area. Our dentists witnessed the growth and changes in the area and supported the community with their time, effort, and sponsorships. They raised their families here, and care about this great community and the people that live here.
I was born and raised in Texas and came to the Hill Country as soon as I could. I attended Pan American University and played college baseball until a shoulder injury ended that career path. I then focused on my other dream- dentistry. I attended the #1 ranked University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School and graduated in 1987 with honors in the same class as my partner- Cliff Luttrell. I came directly to Boerne after dental school, and I joined a practice that Dr. Roger L. Hestilow had started in 1965. I practiced with Dr. Hestilow for 10 years until he retired, then Dr. Luttrell came in to take his place in 1997. Our practice, the Boerne Dental Center, has been in existence since 1965 and has always taken pride in honesty, integrity, and quality. We have some of those patients from 1965 still coming in to see us.
I am married to Martha and between us we have six children. Martha is a professional artist and has worked on many commercial and residential projects. Our oldest child, Jessica, lives in NYC and teaches dance, yoga, and personal fitness training. The next oldest, Kaitlyn, is married and teaches first grade in Kingsland, Texas. She and her husband, Jodan, live near Lake LBJ in the Horseshoe Bay area. Kamryn is the next oldest and is a senior at Texas Tech University and will graduate in May of 2017. Ryan is the oldest boy and is attending UT Austin. He will graduate in May of 2018. Ryan already has his real estate license and is interested in going into that once he graduates. Luke and Cub are the two youngest. Luke is attending UT Austin and Cub is attending Texas Tech. Both Luke and Cub are interested in medical careers.
In my free time I enjoy golf, going to the gym, spending time at the lake, and grilling on my back porch. Living in the Boerne area since 1987, I have seen many changes and much growth. The area has been very good to me and is a wonderful place to practice.
Born and raised in Dallas, I went to The University of Texas in Austin for Undergraduate school and the # 1 ranked University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for Dental School. I graduated in 1987 with Dr. Gomillion. After graduation, I joined the United States Navy where I served in the Dental Corps for 10 years. During that time, I received additional training through a General Practice Residency and Fellowship in Oral Surgery.
In 1997, I left the Navy to join Dr. Gomillion at the Boerne Dental Center where I was happy to find the practice well established in honesty, integrity, and quality care. These were the hallmarks of the Center's founder, Roger Hestilow, and well-maintained by Dr. Gomillion ever since.
My wife, Sherry, and I have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. We have enjoyed living and working in Boerne for the last 20 years because of the wonderful people, the small town history, and hill country lifestyle. Even as Boerne grows, it remains an amazing place to work and live.
I feel blessed to be a part of the greater Boerne community, to be able to care for the great folks of Boerne and consider them my family.
